BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR FABULOUS 10yr OLD PIRATE


PIRATE TREASURE MAP OF SHIPWRECK COVE, WHITE CAP BAY, TREASURE ISLAND & X MARKS THE SPOT


PAINTED THE ICED CAKE WITH STRONG COFFEE TO CREATE THE AGED LOOK FOR THE BASE OF THE MAP, MADE THE OCEAN WITH BLUE ICING SUGAR & USED VANILLA BUTTER ICING TO CREATE THE WHITE PEAKS.  TREASURE ISLAND, YELLOW SUGAR PASTE FOR THE ISLAND, DIB DAB SHERBET FOR THE SAND & ROLO'S MELTED TOGETHER FOR THE TRUNKS OF THE PALM TREES, AND SUGAR PASTE FOR THE LEAVES.  CHOCOLATE SPONGE AND CHOCOLATE FUDGE ICING MADE THE SHIPWRECK WITH MATCHSTICK MELTED TOGETHER FOR MASTS, THE REST OF THE DECORATION IS MADE USING COLOURED SUGAR PASTE INTO MERMAID TAILS, SHARK FIN'S, WHALE AND A COMPASS


MADE SIX SMALL DOUBLE CHOCOLATE FUDGE SPONGE CAKES AND GLUED TOGETHER WITH VANILLA BUTTER ICING, THEN COVERED WITH REGAL ICING


CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE
Weigh two eggs, then double the weight for the self raising flour, margarine & caster sugar. 
Cream the sugar and margarine till light and fluffy, drop in one egg at a time and beat in well, fold in the flour gently with two tablespoons of top quality cocoa powder.

BUTTER ICING
Softened butter, add icing sugar and cocoa powder, keep adding the icing sugar and cocoa powder until you get a nice chocolate butter and are happy with the taste.
